Well this week wasn’t very eventful, and a lot of people dropped us. Also, my companion is sick so we have been at home all day and we need to go to the pharmacy before we have to work so I can’t write for long.
I’ll recap this week for you.
We had to say goodbye to a member of our district, Elder Stephenson, who is in his second transfer. He broke his foot three weeks into the mission and had to come stay in the office but the recovery is going to take a long time so he had to go home. The elders came over to say goodbye and what not and it was really sad. He was the little brother of our district, so we miss him.
We stared teaching a girl named Marcia. She just moved in with some family who are members. She is excited to get baptized and we are working toward this weekend! She’s 12 and precious. She has been attending church for like three months so she’s solid, we just need to make sure she is taught and understands the lessons well enough!
We had an awesome Zone Conference and we are now doing a program where we have to memorize a scripture for every point of every lesson from Preach My Gospel by the end of March. That’s 35 scriptures! But I’m really excited because we get to choose the scripture and I can already see a difference in my teaching in just four days.
The members have been so great to us this week, inviting us for meals, introducing us to people to teach and having us over for family nights. I really love this ward, and all the Cabo Verdian women are teaching me how to cook! Thank goodness! Ha ha ha.
Also, my companion is a crazy! So we have a really good time. She keeps me laughing the whole time whether she wants to or not.
But yeah, that’s pretty much it, sorry. But I love my mission and things are going really well. We are super busy and have tons of work going, even when things fall through. I'm exhausted but in the best way and I love doing this work! The Church is true and I can’t believe I only have six more months to wear this nametag and teach people about it! Sad day, but I’m going to love it until then!!
Love you guys!
