Sick, Sick, Sick

Aloha family!

I was re-admitted to BYUH today! Woo! So after the mission I’m headed back to Hawaii!

Anyway, this past week was kind of a hot mess. We were disgusting-nasty-sick. We spent four days in bed. We were engripada. That means we had the flu!

Monday we left the house to attempt emails and to grab some groceries and even that was feeble.

Tuesday we didn’t leave the house at all.

Wednesday we had to go to a Zone Meeting and then Irma Olson was feeling well enough to do her email so we finished that and then had an integration activity here at the church (we only went because we are in charge of them).

Thursday we were in bed until 5:30 when we met with Erica and then tried to visit a girl we are teaching named Marcia. Well let’s just say, we got off the bus at the station near her house and then we have to climb these huge stairs and walk like another ten minutes to her house. Normally it takes about 15 minutes to walk. It took us almost an hour and our ward mission leader was with us and practically holding Irma Olson up. Also I fell in the street. Like literally I collapsed walking up a hill. But we were so close so we finished trekking to her house and shared a scripture with her. It was totally worth it though because she is soooo shy and never agrees to say the prayer and she said the prayer to finish the lesson! She was so excited to do it too! So we left and we were so happy but then we went straight to bed.

Friday we were in bed all morning and then had a few lessons but we were still so exhausted.

And the Saturday we had an awesome activity that we planned for the young men and young women to help integrate our investigators and recent converts and the help bring back the less active youth. The activity was incredible! It was a complete success and we had everyone there that we had worked to get there and everyone loved it. We made American chili for lunch and brownies for dessert and played capture the flag and seriously it was awesome. I love our ward to death.

But really that’s everything we did this week. We’re still feeling a little gross but a lot better to be working and we were so blessed with how week our activities and lessons went considering our heads were about to explode.

But hey, we are excited because we are going to work hard, it’s the last week of the transfer, and we are in freaking Lisbon! And we love it! The Church is true and the work is amazing!
Love you guys!
Irma Dean
